Bay Shore NY Dentist Restores Your Teeth

A restoration refers to the replacement of missing tooth structure that is supported by dental implants. The dental implant is beneath the gum, while the restoration is the actual tooth replacement. Crowns, bridges, and dentures are all considered restorations.

A single restoration (crown) is used to replace one missing tooth – each prosthetic tooth attaches to its own implant. A partial restoration (fixed bridge) can replace two or more teeth and may require only two or three implants. A complete dental restoration (fixed bridge) replaces all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw. The number of implants varies depending upon which type of complete restoration (removable or fixed) is recommended. A removable restoration (over denture) attaches to a bar or ball in socket attachments, whereas a fixed prosthesis is permanent and removable only by a professional.

Dr. Antenucci is proud to offer multiple restoration options, and guide you through the entire dental implant process. From diagnosis to restoration, we are able to treat all of your dental needs in one location.
